The place's decor felt more of great-grandparents' place than a restaurant, it can be either good or bad depending how you look at it. For the average money you're going to spend here ($100 at least including tip) you would hope they would update it but it has been like this for over decades. I had been coming here for the hot seafood pot for more than 11yrs and nothing changes...alright maybe servers but most are still the same. I have majority of the time the same 2 servers so they sort of knowing me and my family so less attitudes and smiles here and there (which I have to say they are well known for). I had seem them all, chasing after customers for additional tips or ignored customers that they don't like, etc. So is the foods good, yes it was great but as bunch of new restaurants opened, they stayed the same and it can be not a great thing. For me, the broth can be great most of the time 85% and 15% can be not so great or decent. But the meats are excellent, very tender both meats and seafoods. The portion is either small or big and I tended to go with small (for 3) and then some left over. I will come back for more definitely when I'm craving for good old spicy hot pot with ramen on a really cold night.

Absolutely amazing food here. We got the octopus soup with meat, and it was marvelous. I actually never tasted meat SO tender and the tendon within the meat melted in our mouths. The octopus was super fresh as well. Literally massive. And very very tasty. Service here is okay... definitely not the friendliest, but who cares the food is good and they do their job as needed! Ambiance is a mom and pop shop, not the prettiest, but it's one of those places you know is good... One thing is the portions here are for families. You will be spending minimum 100$... I am actually not a fan of them charging us for side dishes, since the entree was already 105$ not including tip and tax. we came out spending 145$ for 5 people ordering one entree. For sure on the more expensive side. Not worth the price in my opinion with service, ambiance, and quality. But still is a delicious little place.

The food is really good and the service is super. The waitresses are really nice and friendly and they won't let you do anything and do everything for you. I ordered the Spicy Beef Rib Casserole with Octopus small size for 3 people as it is what this place is famous for. After including tax and tips it was $122. Make sure you order the ramen. It tastes much better with ramen than udon. Definitely recommend it and will visit again. The moment I wrote this review, I already returned here for the second time as my family loves the food here. You can also order this togo if you don't want to wait as this place is kinda small, so it will take a while to dine in. Highly recommend!

The place is your mom and pops it's quite the hidden gem. It's a bit old and run down but the food is good. It is very spicy though so if you have a low tolerance I'd recommend you be scarce on the spice level. The corn cheese and sides were delicious. The stew with rib and octopus are my go to. KEEP IN MIND - This place is interesting in that it's not exactly comfortable eating here there are RANDOM RULES. You can't order over a specific amount of noodles with your stew - even if you're paying for it. You have to have a certain amount of people to order a certain size pot. They don't provide you with refills on some of your sides ALSO- they will gawk while you TIP they stare hard requesting a lot for quite mediocre service. WHILE THIS PLACE IS GOOD it's also pretty EXPENSIVE, the rules make the environment a little uncomfortable but in large groups the food, for take out - can be quite worth it.
